Suponha-se que a madrugada de hoje seria dedicada à Netflix, com muitas obras nomeadas (e favoritas) aos Golden Globes como “O Irlandês”, “Marriage Story”, “The Two Popes” ou”Dolemite Is My Name”, mas a gigante do streaming levou poucos galardões para casa. Ao todo foram 2: Laura Dern como melhor Actriz Secundária em “Marriage Story” e Olivia Colman como melhor Actriz em Série de Drama em “The Crown”.
Por outro lado, a HBO arrecadou 7 Golden Globes com as séries Succession, Chernobyl, Fosse/Derdon, The Loudest Voice e The Act. A Amazon, tal como a Netflix, também venceu 2 globos com o sucesso de comédia “Fleabag”, enquanto que nenhuma série do AppleTV+ conseguiu levar uma estatueta da cerimónia de ontem.
A cerimónia ficou ainda marcada pela apresentação que ficou a cargo de Ricky Gervais, pela quinta vez.
