A 93.ª edição dos Oscars realizou-se na última noite, numa cerimónia diferente do habitual, mais reduzida e espalhada pelos quatro cantos do mundo. ‘Nomadland – Sobreviver na América’ foi o grande vencedor, ao vencer os prémios para Melhor Filme, Melhor Atriz e Melhor Realização.
‘Nomadland – Sobreviver na América’ apresenta Linda May, Swankie e Bob Wells, verdadeiros nómadas, como mentores e companheiros de Fern (Frances McDormand) na sua viagem pelas vastas paisagens do oeste americano. Após o colapso económico de uma cidade empresarial na zona rural de Nevada, Fern, prepara a sua carrinha e parte pela estrada explorando uma vida fora da sociedade convencional, como uma nómada moderna. O filme já está nos cinemas portugueses
